Senior Software Engineer (Clojure)

Location: Hybrid in Oslo, Norway, with 2 to 3 days per week from the office

What you will do

• Design, build, and improve services across complex areas of the Clojure codebase.
• Identify and reduce technical debt before it affects customers.
• Investigate production issues spanning multiple services and components.
• Provide architecture-level feedback through code reviews.
• Mentor engineers and share functional programming and systems knowledge.

Requirements

• Production experience with Clojure or another functional JVM-based language.
• Experience building and maintaining production systems, ideally in a high-growth SaaS environment.
• Strong understanding of immutable data structures, pure functions, and REPL-driven development.
• Ability to analyze complex system behavior and produce structured technical recommendations.
• Clear communication skills and a collaborative approach to mentoring and technical discussions.
