Staff Software Engineer (AI)

Location: Bellevue, WA, United States; hybrid, reporting to the Bellevue office three days a week

Base salary: $180,000–$210,000 per year, plus equity

What you will do

• Own key product and technology initiatives from technical design and specification through development, testing, and launch.
• Build innovative web applications and cloud services that deliver Generative AI capabilities to customers.
• Develop readable, maintainable, scalable, reliable, performant, and secure full-stack software.
• Investigate, prototype, and deliver solutions across the technology stack.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, marketing, data science, and engineering teams.
• Define and drive best practices for modern web application and cloud service development.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science or a related field.
• 12+ years of experience developing scalable, reliable, performant, and secure full-stack applications.
• Strong proficiency in frontend and backend development technologies.
• Experience with Claude and other AI tools.
• Experience building products on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with relational and non-relational data stores, pub/sub systems, performance optimization, and translating high-level requirements into execution plans.
