Engineering Financial Controller (Aerospace)

hirify.global Defence and Space is an aerospace and defence company with a transnational financial controlling team supporting Systems Engineering.

What you will do

• Support yearly and quarterly cost center and Cost By Nature forecasting and planning, including preparation of working files, timeline coordination, and data entry in IBM Planning.
• Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including cost reallocations, open commitment tracking, and team-hours monitoring.
• Prepare standardized reporting on key metrics such as NRC, RC, efficiency, and travel expenses.
• Maintain master data, headcount status information, and Purchase Order compliance checks across financial reporting processes.
• Simplify, harmonize, and automate recurring manual financial operations.
• Use financial systems, basic legal and HR workflows, and project management knowledge to support daily operations.

Requirements

• Degree in Business Management, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in financial controlling or a related area.
• Experience with financial tools such as SAP, IFRP, SAC/Fiori, and Google Workspace is highly recommended.
• Strong accuracy, analytical, problem-solving, data-management, and deadline-management skills.
• Proactive, deliverable-driven approach with the ability to understand complex financial data and propose process improvements.
• English is required; French or German is a plus.
