General Ledger & Reporting Accountant

Location: Braga, Portugal; hybrid working model with flexible hours

What you will do

• Execute and oversee general ledger activities and contribute to month-end close and financial reporting.
• Prepare and review journal entries, including complex and ad hoc postings.
• Manage fixed asset processes covering additions, disposals, and depreciation.
• Perform intercompany and balance sheet reconciliations, investigate variances, and deliver P&L and balance sheet analysis.
• Manage corporate reporting packages, upload data into reporting tools such as Cognos, and support VAT, tax reporting, and audits.
• Identify process improvements and collaborate with Finance teams, Controllers, and business stakeholders on transitions, documentation, and knowledge sharing.

Requirements

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of Record-to-Report accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles, including IFRS or GAAP.
• Experience with ERP systems, reporting tools such as Cognos, and advanced Excel.
• Analytical mindset, attention to detail, ownership, independence, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
• English at B2 level or higher required.
