Risk & Compliance Lead (SaaS)

Location: Remote within the United States; flexible working hours within US time zones, with some morning overlap with European hours required.

Salary: $125,000–$135,000 annually.

What you will do

• Own and continuously improve the risk, privacy, and security compliance program.
• Lead risk assessments, policy reviews, audit readiness, evidence management, certifications, and remediation activities.
• Develop scalable processes for customer security reviews, HECVATs, questionnaires, due diligence, and trust resources.
• Manage Data Processing Agreements, Business Associate Agreements, security exhibits, and related compliance terms.
• Develop security awareness and compliance training and provide practical risk guidance across the business.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, Sales, Customer Success, Finance, Leadership, auditors, consultants, and legal counsel.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience leading or supporting risk, compliance, privacy, security, or related programs in SaaS, healthcare technology, or another regulated industry.
• Experience building or improving risk and compliance programs.
• Experience with customer security reviews, vendor assessments, due diligence, enterprise procurement, or compliance-related customer agreements.
• Working knowledge of HIPAA and practical application of privacy and security requirements.
• Experience preparing for or supporting security audits, certifications, or compliance assessments.
• Strong written communication, business judgment, and ability to work with technical and non-technical teams.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with GDPR, CCPA, SOC 2, ISO 27001, HITRUST, NIST, HECVATs, VPATs, or accessibility requirements.
• Experience in healthcare, behavioral health, education, or another highly regulated industry.
• Experience working in a growing SaaS company with evolving processes and priorities.
