Senior Firmware Engineer (C)

Location: Onsite in Taunton, Massachusetts, United States; active Secret clearance required

Salary: $60,000–$180,000 USD per year

What you will do

• Develop, test, and implement electrical components, equipment, and systems.
• Design and implement bare-metal firmware in C for ARM Cortex-M and other microcontroller architectures.
• Develop drivers and low-level interfaces for SPI, I2C, UART, GPIO, ADC, PWM, and timer peripherals.
• Participate in requirements analysis, design, integration, verification, technical reviews, and root-cause analysis.
• Profile and optimize firmware for performance, power consumption, and memory constraints.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers, systems architects, project leaders, program managers, product teams, and external customers.

Requirements

• Active Secret security clearance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related science, engineering, or mathematics field with at least 8 years of relevant experience, or a master’s degree with at least 6 years of relevant experience.
• Research and development experience and awareness of technology trends.
• Experience leading design teams for complex projects.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with a commitment to ongoing professional development.

Nice to have

• Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, SWD, JTAG debuggers, and embedded testing frameworks.
