Development Manager (Digital Health)

Location: Hybrid in Burlington, MA (Boston) or Greenwich, CT; 3 days in office and 2 days remote. U.S. residents only, with all work performed within the United States.

Salary: $103,300–$287,600 annual base pay.

What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for scalable, high-quality software development initiatives.
• Contribute hands-on through solution design, coding, code reviews, troubleshooting, and technical problem-solving.
• Partner with Product, Architecture, Quality Assurance, and business stakeholders on strategic delivery.
• Guide architecture, design patterns, development standards, and engineering best practices.
• Mentor developers and coordinate technical priorities across cross-functional teams.
• Support platform modernization, knowledge transfer, continuous improvement, and technical assessments.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Experience developing, maintaining, and supporting enterprise-scale software applications.
• Strong experience in application design, coding, testing, debugging, and maintenance.
• Experience providing technical leadership, mentoring developers, and influencing technical direction without direct authority.
• Knowledge of software development methodologies, application architecture, Agile practices, source control, code reviews, continuous integration, and automated testing.
• Must reside in the United States, in the same country where the job is located, and work in the hybrid office arrangement.

Nice to have

• Healthcare technology, patient experience, digital health, or customer-facing platform experience.
• Participation in large-scale modernization, migration, or transformation initiatives.
• Experience with knowledge transfer programs, geographically distributed teams, or prior people management.
• Experience leading technical teams as a Technical Lead, Lead Software Engineer, Engineering Lead, or similar.
