Quantum Communication Engineer

What you will do

• Develop optical and quantum communication components, modules, and systems.
• Perform systems engineering tasks for satellite missions.
• Build, test, and analyze laser and optoelectronics setups in the laboratory.
• Work with customers on technical requirements and specifications.
• Collaborate in multi-partner projects with international organizations.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD degree in physics, photonics, optical engineering, or a related STEM field.
• Several years of experience in optical communications, laser physics, or quantum physics and technology.
• Hands-on experience with lasers, optoelectronics, free-space optics, and fiber optics.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Fluent English and German.
• Willingness to work in teams, engage with customers, and collaborate in multi-partner project structures.
