Manager, Accounting - APAC (US GAAP/IFRS)

Accounting operations supporting more than five APAC legal entities and business teams across Japan, Hong Kong, Singapore, and other countries.

What you will do

• Lead end-to-end general ledger accounting operations across assigned APAC legal entities.
• Manage monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close, including journal entries, reconciliations, account analyses, and financial statement reviews.
• Provide hands-on guidance on complex accounting matters, accruals, reserves, close issues, and inquiries from business teams.
• Manage US GAAP group audits and local statutory audits, supporting SOX compliance and resolving audit issues.
• Develop management reporting and ad hoc analyses covering markdowns, chargebacks, bad debt, inventory provisions, trends, and budget versus actuals.
• Coach and develop direct reports while leading process optimization, system enhancements, entity integrations, and new business setup projects.

Requirements

• Experience leading accounting operations across multiple legal entities and countries.
• Expert knowledge of US GAAP and IFRS.
• Experience with financial close, journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, financial reporting, and analytical review.
• Ability to manage audit timelines, support SOX compliance, and ensure accurate and timely reporting.
• Experience supervising, coaching, training, and evaluating accounting team members.
• Ability to collaborate with FP&A, Tax, Treasury, IT, Internal Controls, auditors, and regional business teams.
