Senior Accountant, Statutory Financial Reporting (Fixed Term Contract - Remote / Home Based)

What you will do

• Prepare accurate and timely statutory financial statements for European operations.
• Manage balance sheet governance and coordinate with Business Process Outsourcing providers.
• Work with local country advisors and the corporate accounting team to apply local GAAP and company policies.
• Coordinate information gathering across cross-functional teams and serve as the main contact for external auditors.
• Maintain complete supporting documentation and identify opportunities to improve reporting processes.
• Participate in accounting projects focused on operational efficiency and best-practice implementation.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Finance or Accounting and/or a professional accounting qualification such as ACA or ACCA.
• At least 7 years of post-qualification experience and more than 3 years preparing statutory financial statements.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles, IFRS, US GAAP, and financial reporting.
• Experience managing BPO providers and external audits.
• Strong analytical, communication, documentation, and deadline-management skills.
• Ability to work independently, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain accuracy under pressure.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of European statutory reporting and local EU GAAP.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA, BlackLine, Oracle, or Workiva.
• Data and reporting expertise and knowledge of XBRL tagging.
