TL;DR
GL Accountant (SAP): Managing the end-to-end record-to-report process, including general ledger maintenance, reconciliations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance with an accent on SAP S/4HANA, IFRS, and financial controls. Focus on closing activities, investigating variances, preparing audit documentation, and designing continuous accounting process improvements.
Location: Hybrid; flexible working arrangements are open for discussion.

What you will do
- Maintain the general ledger and accurately process and classify accounting transactions in SAP S/4HANA.
- Review and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and reclassifications.
- Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
- Analyze financial results, investigate unusual transactions and variances, and prepare management reports.
- Prepare audit schedules and support statutory financial statement preparation.
- Maintain compliance with IFRS, local accounting standards, internal controls, and financial procedures while improving processes.
Requirements
- Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 2 with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, IFRS, and statutory compliance.
- Experience with global ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills, with the ability to work independently under pressure.
- Proactive approach, adaptability, and interest in continuous process improvement.
