TL;DR
GL Accountant (SAP S/4HANA): Managing the end-to-end record-to-report process in a hybrid finance team with an accent on general ledger accuracy, reconciliations, financial reporting, and statutory compliance. Focus on closing activities, investigating variances, preparing IFRS-based reporting, and improving accounting processes across global teams.

Location: Ebene, Mauritius; hybrid working arrangement

What you will do

  • Maintain the general ledger and accurately process accounting transactions in SAP S/4HANA.
  • Review and post journal entries, accruals, prepayments, provisions, and reclassifications.
  • Perform month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities, including balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Analyze financial results, investigate variances, and prepare monthly management reports.
  • Prepare audit schedules and support statutory financial statement preparation.
  • Improve accounting processes and collaborate with finance colleagues across countries.

Requirements

  • Degree in Accounting or ACCA Level 2 with at least 5 years of relevant accounting experience.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, IFRS, and statutory compliance.
  • Experience with global ERP systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent written and spoken English is required.
  • Ability to work independently, under pressure, and adapt to change while driving continuous improvement.
