Working Student Software Platform in Mobile Communications (C++/Rust/Python)

Location: Munich, Germany; mobile working is possible, but Munich is the main place of work.

What you will do

• Extend a Python tool for parsing 3GPP specifications and keeping device software up to date.
• Develop code-generation tooling for multiple programming languages, including migration to a Rust-based replacement.
• Support the extension of a C++-based communication framework.
• Improve CI/CD pipelines by setting up system tests in virtualized environments, introducing C++ build caching, and optimizing performance.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a Computer Science degree or a comparable field for the duration of employment.
• Programming skills in Python, C++, and Rust.
• Good command of written and spoken English.
• Enthusiasm for learning new technical areas.
• Availability for up to 20 hours per week during the lecture period.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with Git, GitLab, and CI/CD concepts.
• German language skills.
