Senior Analytics Engineer (Fintech)

Location: Remote from Cyprus or Spain

hirify.global operates a fintech product with Operations and Trust & Risk Intelligence data domains.

What you will do

• Own the Operations data model covering reconciliation, treasury, payments, lifecycle, and onboarding.
• Transform raw operational events into documented, trustworthy data products on the data warehouse.
• Partner with Operations stakeholders on ad hoc questions and recurring reporting while moving repeatable requests toward self-service.
• Define and maintain metrics for reconciliation accuracy, treasury positions, payment success and failure rates, and onboarding conversion.
• Identify manual effort and fragile handoffs, then propose process, tooling, and product improvements.
• Participate in data quality and governance practices and contribute to shared Risk/TRI initiatives.

Requirements

• Experience as an analytics engineer or senior analyst on technical data projects.
• Hands-on data modeling experience with a modern data platform such as Databricks, Spark, or dbt.
• Excellent SQL skills and the ability to use Python where SQL is insufficient.
• Ability to gather requirements from operational stakeholders and turn ambiguous requests into documented metrics.
• Strong precision, autonomy, self-direction, and ability to reconcile differing stakeholder definitions of the same metric.
• Ability to understand operational workflows and identify automation that removes real work.

Nice to have

• Background in banking, fintech, treasury, or payments operations.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholder groups with overlapping needs.
• Familiarity with regulatory or financial reporting data requirements.
• Exposure to BI-layer reporting where it intersects with data products.
