Continuous Improvement Leader (Manufacturing)

Location: Shanghai, China; onsite at the site

What you will do

• Develop and facilitate the site Management Operating System and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assess manufacturing and business process performance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Build business cases, project methods, financial goals, and non-financial improvement targets.
• Create current- and future-state Value Stream Maps and strategy-driven implementation plans.
• Develop tools and training for Lean principles, RCCA problem solving, 5S, Standard Work, and Visual Management.
• Lead change, engage cross-functional teams, and deliver sustainable improvements in safety, quality, delivery, cost, productivity, and inventory.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical, STEM, or operations-related field.
• 5+ years of relevant experience, ideally in a comparable manufacturing environment.
• Proven success leading change and implementing continuous improvement programs.
• Deep understanding of end-to-end processes and Lean Leadership, including Daily Management, Leader Standard Work, and Gemba Walks.
• Expertise in formal problem-solving methods such as RCCA, 8D, or A3.
• Strong communication, presentation, analytical, financial, hands-on leadership, and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in a larger corporate supply chain or operations role.
• Experience with Kanban Pull Systems, Quick Changeover, Design for Lean, Flow, Inventory Reduction, and Site Tracking Centres.
