Marketing Communications Manager (Banking)

Location: Edinburgh, Bristol or Halifax, United Kingdom. Hybrid working requires at least two days per week, or 40% of working time, at an office site.

Salary: £61,344–£68,160 per year.

What you will do

• Lead proactive and reactive communications campaigns, stunts, and activations across paid, owned, and earned channels.
• Identify cultural, customer, product, and market opportunities through daily listening, social sentiment, platform trends, and cultural signals.
• Develop responsive support for cultural moments, seasonal events, sponsorships, product launches, and brand campaigns.
• Collaborate with brand, product, social, media, agency, risk, commercial, and other business teams to deliver integrated activity at pace.
• Build measurement frameworks covering fame, engagement, sentiment, speed to market, customer value, and commercial contribution.
• Lead and develop a high-performing team, manage budgets, and maintain FCA and Group compliance standards.

Requirements

• Experience delivering impactful communications, PR, or marketing campaigns across paid, owned, and earned channels.
• Strong understanding of social, cultural, and market trends, with the ability to respond quickly to opportunities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and experience working with agencies and business partners.
• Strong creative, strategic, analytical, people leadership, budget management, and planning skills.
• Understanding of risk, governance, and regulatory requirements within a large organisation.
• Ability to work in a hybrid pattern from Edinburgh, Bristol, or Halifax, with at least two days per week at an office site.
