Business Analyst Batteries & Flexibility (AI)

Location: Rotterdam, Netherlands

Gross annual salary: €71,000–€100,000, including FlexBudget and an 8% holiday allowance; a bonus or collective profit sharing may apply depending on the role.

What you will do

• Translate new battery and flexibility propositions into scalable operational processes.
• Support the implementation and operationalization of new products across business, technology, and operations.
• Identify bottlenecks and improve systems, workflows, data flows, and operational handovers.
• Ensure accurate and timely financial settlement of complex battery and flexibility contracts.
• Collaborate with Trading, Operations, IT, Finance, and external counterparties on end-to-end process optimization.
• Drive automation, data quality improvements, operational risk reduction, and sustainable long-term solutions.

Requirements

• Completed Master’s degree, preferably in a technical, economic, quantitative, business, or related field.
• At least 3 years of relevant experience in energy trading, operations, settlements, business analysis, process improvement, data analytics, or a comparable environment.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to understand complex processes, contracts, systems, and datasets.
• Experience with Excel and an affinity for Databricks, Python, AI, automation, or comparable technologies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to work across multiple departments.
• Proactive, curious, and improvement-focused approach with confidence to challenge existing ways of working.

• Experience with batteries, flexibility products, or energy markets.
• Strong learning agility and the ability to operate across multiple domains.
