HR BUHR Lead (Orthopaedics)

Location: Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan; onsite role with up to 10–20% domestic and regional travel

Johnson & Johnson MedTech develops healthcare and medical-device solutions, with the Orthopaedics business planned to operate as the standalone DePuy Synthes company.

What you will do

• Support execution of business strategies and operational plans for the Japan market in alignment with regional and global objectives.
• Partner with cross-functional, regional, global, and senior stakeholders to coordinate initiatives, priorities, and deliverables.
• Analyze business performance, metrics, and trends to provide insights for decision-making and continuous improvement.
• Contribute to planning, forecasting, and performance management activities.
• Support change initiatives, process improvements, governance, compliance, and internal controls.
• Prepare reports, presentations, and leadership insights; manage local document, records, filing, and audit coordination activities where required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Operations, or a related field.
• 6–8 years of progressive experience in business management, operations, strategy, or a related area.
• Experience supporting business operations or market-level initiatives in a matrixed organization.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Japanese and English proficiency required.

Nice to have

• Master’s degree or MBA.
• Experience with Japan market operations or regional roles.
• Healthcare, medical-device, or regulated-industry experience.
• Change management, transformation, performance-management, or reporting-tools experience.
• Business-management or project-management certifications.
