NPI Sourcing & Material Manager

Location: Singapore, SGP; travel required for 10% of the time

What you will do

• Forecast engineering, materials, and manufacturing requirements and communicate demand signals to suppliers through MRP.
• Form and coordinate a Materials Core Team across buyers, planners, production control, and engineering.
• Create, release, and update materials strategies for new projects and execute commercialization materials plans.
• Support supplier selection, price and delivery negotiations, risk assessments, and performance monitoring.
• Manage materials change control, cost objectives, landed-cost targets, key process indicators, and quality issue resolution.
• Identify critical and long-lead parts, define inspection requirements, and develop supplier and commodity road maps.

Requirements

• Conceptual and practical expertise in the relevant discipline with basic knowledge of related disciplines.
• Knowledge of best practices and how materials and sourcing activities integrate with other business areas.
• Ability to solve complex problems using information from multiple sources and exercise sound judgment.
• Ability to build consensus and explain difficult or sensitive information.
• Ability to act as a resource for less experienced colleagues and lead small projects.
