Legal Counsel (APAC)

What you will do

• Review, draft, and negotiate client, supplier, subcontractor, confidentiality, employment, and contractor agreements across APAC.
• Identify contractual risks, support contract audits, maintain contract records and systems, and monitor contract expiry dates.
• Advise business units, Human Resources, Finance, insurers, brokers, and regional stakeholders on legal, employment, compliance, and insurance matters.
• Handle legal issues, claims, demand letters, and threatened litigation in coordination with Group Legal Counsel and external advisers.
• Oversee corporate entities, partnerships, powers of attorney, licences, permits, bank account openings, and new entity setups across APAC.
• Support corporate transactions and conduct legal due diligence for M&A acquisition targets in the region.

Requirements

• 7–8+ years of experience in contracts management and legal or commercial roles.
• Qualified legal contracts professional with strong APAC experience.
• Experience in contract drafting, risk management, compliance, and commercial and employment law.
• Experience aligning regional legal practices with global standards.
• Experience providing corporate and operational legal support and engaging cross-functional stakeholders.
