Freelance Localization Delivery Manager

Location: Buenos Aires, Argentina; hybrid work with office attendance around four days a week

What you will do

• Serve as the primary client contact, managing expectations, deliverables, timelines, feedback, and escalations.
• Validate and triage localization briefs to internal and external linguists and Production/Studio teams.
• Manage translation, transcreation, and production projects end to end, from scoping through delivery and billing.
• Select linguists, provide performance feedback, and maintain client glossaries and Translation Memories.
• Own project budgets, cost reconciliation, purchase orders, and client billing.
• Implement and evaluate AI-led tools for translation, transcreation, QA, and cultural insight.

Requirements

• Availability to start by mid-August 2026.
• 3+ years of experience in localization project management.
• Experience briefing and managing internal or external linguists across copy localization projects.
• Strong client-facing communication skills and the ability to work with local and international stakeholders.
• Deep knowledge of localization workflows, design and layout constraints, and quality assurance methodologies.
• Experience with CAT tools and Translation Management Systems such as XTM or XTRF; excellent written and verbal communication in English and Spanish.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience with Unifyr and Asana.
• Conversational Brazilian Portuguese.
• Experience with AI-led translation and transcreation tools, including prompting or retraining AI engines.
