Senior Search Manager (SEM)

Location: Sydney, Australia. Hybrid work with remote flexibility and in-person collaboration at the Sydney campus; the role is intended for someone based in Sydney. Some evening calls with EMEA may be required.

What you will do

• Own a portfolio of multi-market Search accounts across SEM, PMax/Shopping, Google App Campaigns, Apple Search Ads, and ChatGPT Ads.
• Manage campaign performance, account structure, budgets, and incrementality-informed investment decisions.
• Lead Search strategy for assigned markets and strategic focus areas while educating regional stakeholders.
• Use AI to accelerate reporting, analysis, testing, automation, and repeatable process improvements.
• Support new market launches and major platform changes, including AI Max testing and bidding algorithm updates.
• Partner with measurement, data, and AdTech teams on experimentation, tracking, signal quality, and issue resolution.

Requirements

• Experience running Search and Shopping accounts at genuine multi-market scale with meaningful budgets.
• Hands-on expertise with Google Ads, Bing Ads, and SA360 or an equivalent bid management platform.
• Strong understanding of platform mechanics, auction dynamics, bidding algorithms, measurement, and account structure.
• Ability to analyze performance data, diagnose discrepancies, and manage priorities across multiple markets and workstreams.
• Clear communication skills for translating Search mechanics into accessible language for regional stakeholders.
• Comfort working across time zones with a globally distributed team, including occasional evening EMEA calls.

• Experience supporting major platform changes such as AI Max rollout or bidding algorithm updates.
• Experience building shared automation and process improvements for Search teams.
