Cloud / DevOps Engineer (Azure)

Location: Hybrid, primarily Berlin, Germany; remote work is supported within Germany

hirify.global is building a growing AI platform powered by a modern Azure-based cloud stack.

What you will do

• Design and operate secure, scalable, highly available Azure infrastructure across compute, networking, storage, identity, and platform services.
• Build repeatable infrastructure deployments with Terraform or Bicep.
• Deploy and manage Docker and Kubernetes/AKS environments, including scaling, upgrades, security hardening, and troubleshooting.
• Design and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or equivalent platforms.
• Establish cloud security, observability, reliability, backup, and disaster recovery practices.
• Partner with software and ML engineers on AI/ML workloads, cloud optimisation, architecture decisions, and incident response.

Requirements

• 4+ years of hands-on experience in Cloud Engineering, DevOps, Platform Engineering, or SRE.
• Strong production experience with Microsoft Azure across architecture, deployment, networking, identity, and security.
• Production experience with Terraform or Bicep, Docker, and Kubernetes/AKS.
• End-to-end ownership of cloud infrastructure and architecture decisions.
• Strong knowledge of IAM, secrets management, observability, reliability, automation, Linux administration, and scripting with Bash or Python.
• Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.

Nice to have

• Experience with GitOps, Helm, Argo CD, Prometheus, Grafana, or OpenTelemetry.
• Familiarity with AI/ML or GPU-based workloads and multi-cloud environments.
• Background in a large-scale technology or enterprise organisation.
