TL;DR
Production Technician (Electronics) (Manufacturing and Product Validation): Assembling, testing, and validating specialized electronic products in a manufacturing environment with an accent on electrical, functional, environmental, and reliability testing. Focus on troubleshooting test failures, supporting new product introductions, maintaining Golden Units, and contributing to root cause analysis and continuous improvement.

Location: Richmond, Canada; onsite manufacturing and laboratory environment

Salary: CAD 23.50 per hour

What you will do

  • Assemble new and specialized products, including products requiring dedicated machine operation and setup.
  • Perform electrical, functional, environmental, reliability, validation, and re-testing activities according to established procedures.
  • Operate, troubleshoot, and functionally test New Product Introductions and support related engineering investigations.
  • Analyze test results, identify failures, maintain accurate test records, and communicate findings to Engineering and Production.
  • Maintain Golden Unit duplication activities and support qualification, verification, and validation of product and process changes.
  • Assist with testing procedures, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Mechatronics is preferred.
  • 1–3 years of relevant experience in manufacturing, electronics testing, product validation, or engineering support.
  • Experience operating test equipment and interpreting test results.
  • Proficiency with basic hand and power tools, strong problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work onsite in Richmond, Canada, including off-shift, evening, Sunday, after-hours, and weekend testing support as required.
