Care Specialist (Nurse Educator) (Healthcare)

Location: San Juan, Puerto Rico; candidates must reside in the country where the job is posted and be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. The role requires extensive travel, approximately 75–90%, and driving with a valid driver's license.

Salary: $70,000–$75,000 annually, plus car allowance and bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Help develop STAR-reviewed patient education plans covering treatment onboarding, product administration, adherence, and compliance.
• Provide product, disease-state, supplemental injection, and administration education to patients prescribed the product.
• Improve patient health literacy and communication between patients and healthcare providers without providing medical advice or influencing treatment decisions.
• Deliver educational programs for healthcare professionals and office staff about the patient support program.
• Support physician peer-to-peer engagement by contributing to program content and presenting STAR-approved materials.
• Manage patient caseloads, accounts, travel, and commercial budgets across a large geography while following program policies and training requirements.

Requirements

• BA/BS degree, preferably in behavioral or social sciences, public health, or a business-related discipline.
• Licensed nurse status as an LPN or RN and at least three years of professional experience in social work, case management, or disease management in a patient or health-related field.
• Strong time management, planning, prioritization, presentation, written, verbal communication, interpersonal, networking, negotiation, and influencing skills.
• Experience working with community-based or patient health-related organizations and cross-functional teams.
• Fully competent in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; injection training is required.
• Valid driver's license, acceptable driving record, extensive travel availability, and US work authorization without visa sponsorship are required.
