Finance Operations Manager (Fintech)

Location: Hybrid in New York City; expected to work from the NYC office at least 3 days per week

Salary: $135,000–$150,000 annually, plus bonus and equity options

What you will do

• Own merchant settlement configuration, daily settlement execution, payout investigations, reserves, holdbacks, and settlement inquiries.
• Execute and reconcile stablecoin settlements, on- and off-ramp conversions, wallet transfers, custody movements, and on-chain activity.
• Manage daily cash positioning, liquidity thresholds, prefunding, and short-term forecasts across accounts, entities, countries, and currencies.
• Execute FX trades and intercompany funding while tracking currency exposure, documentation, and settlement status.
• Execute wires, ACH, SEPA, and SWIFT payments under maker-checker controls and maintain complete audit trails.
• Coordinate with banks, sponsor banks, custodians, and payment partners while documenting procedures and supporting audits.

Requirements

• 5+ years of experience in financial operations, treasury operations, or payment operations.
• Experience in fintech, payments, banking, or another regulated financial services business.
• Hands-on experience with multiple payment rails, including wire, ACH, SWIFT, SEPA, or local equivalents.
• Experience with multi-currency and multi-entity operations, FX execution, intercompany funding, cash positioning, and short-term forecasting.
• Strong reconciliation skills, comfort with high-volume transaction data, and advanced Excel proficiency.
• Experience applying AI to finance or accounting workflows and operating effectively without an established playbook.

Nice to have

• Early-stage or high-growth startup experience.
• Experience with stablecoin or crypto settlement, custody platforms, exchanges, or OTC counterparties.
• Familiarity with FBO structures, safeguarding rules, or money transmitter permissible investment requirements.
• Experience with Modern Treasury, NetSuite, BigQuery, or comparable treasury and payment operations tools.
• Experience establishing banking or custody relationships in a new country.
