TL;DR
Financial Operations Manager (Fintech): Preparing daily and monthly financial regulatory reports and supporting the accounting close for a registered broker/dealer with an accent on SEC and FINRA compliance, reserve computations, FOCUS reporting, reconciliations, and financial analysis. Focus on assembling accurate regulatory data, preparing accounting entries, and maintaining reporting controls in a fast-moving financial operations environment.
Location: New York, NY; Chicago, IL; or Menlo Park, CA. In-person attendance is expected at least 3 days per week.
Base pay range: $1–$1 USD, depending on compensation zone and work location. Additional eligibility includes bonus opportunities, equity, and benefits.

What you will do
- Prepare or support financial regulatory reports for the registered broker/dealer, including Reserve Computation and FOCUS reports.
- Produce daily Net Capital schedules and 15c3-3 Customer Reserve computations.
- Support the month-end accounting close by preparing accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial reports.
- Assemble data required for daily regulatory reporting and maintain accuracy across submissions.
- Support compliance with SEC, FINRA, and other regulatory requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
- 5+ years of finance experience at a bank or broker/dealer, including regulatory reporting processes and controls.
- Accounting experience in a financial institution, including accounting entries, reconciliations, and financial analysis.
- Intermediate Excel and SQL skills, with comfort using AI tools to improve efficiency.
- Series 27 or 99 certification preferred; certification must be obtained within 1 year if required.
- Ability to work effectively in a dynamic, fast-paced environment and quickly learn new subject matter.
