Regional Oncology Travel Float Registered Nurse (RN) (Oncology)

Location: Odessa, Texas, with regional travel across Wichita Falls, Amarillo, Abilene, Midland, Odessa, El Paso, and Lubbock

Community oncology provider delivering evidence-based cancer care through Texas Oncology clinics across Texas and southeastern Oklahoma.

What you will do

• Provide cross-coverage in medical oncology, radiation oncology, and infusion nursing units.
• Assess, plan, coordinate, and evaluate patient care across multiple clinic assignments.
• Administer medications, blood products, and therapies according to clinical standards.
• Perform venipuncture, access ports, and maintain central lines.
• Monitor laboratory results, support protocol-based dose modifications, and coordinate treatment orders with providers.
• Manage triage calls, symptom management, patient education, psychosocial support, and community-resource access.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited professional nursing education program; BSN preferred.
• Current RN license and registration with the relevant State Board of Nursing.
• Current Basic Life Support certification and ongoing continuing education.
• At least one year of nursing experience for Level I; three years for Level II; five years, including one year in oncology preferred, for Senior level.
• Strong critical-thinking, communication, adaptability, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to support multiple oncology care areas.
• Comfort with EHR systems such as OncoEMR or Epic.

Nice to have

• Oncology Certified Nurse certification or oncology, infusion, or radiation experience.
• Strong IV and central-line skills.
• Experience or interest in Gyn Onc, BMT, or pediatric oncology.
• Bilingual English/Spanish skills.
