TL;DR
Senior Manager, Pharmacy RPh (Oncology): Overseeing pharmacy operations and sterile and non-sterile compounding services to support compliant, high-quality patient care with an accent on oncology therapeutics, regulatory compliance, and medication safety. Location: Boston, Massachusetts, United States; onsite with occasional remote work

Salary: $188,400–$200,900 per year

What you will do

  • Oversee daily pharmacy operations and ensure compliance with regulations, institutional policies, and SOPs.
  • Lead sterile and non-sterile compounding services in accordance with USP <797> and USP <800>.
  • Manage, mentor, hire, onboard, train, and evaluate pharmacy staff and supervisors.
  • Develop quality assurance, quality control, pharmacy metrics, budgets, and resource allocation programs.
  • Collaborate with clinical, nursing, research, regulatory, quality, and safety teams to optimize medication management and patient safety.
  • Lead pharmacy policies, protocols, technology implementations, process improvements, and compliance initiatives.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in pharmacy from an accredited institution required; PharmD preferred.
  • At least 7 years of pharmacy or related experience, including 5 years in oncology or a related specialty.
  • At least 5 years in a supervisory or management role.
  • Pharmacist licensure in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts or another applicable state.
  • Knowledge of pharmacy practice, medication management, oncology therapeutics, regulatory compliance, and healthcare IT systems including Epic Beacon/Willow.
  • Strong leadership, communication, analytical, project management, and change management skills.

Nice to have

  • Doctor of Pharmacy degree.
  • Residency or fellowship training.
  • Board Certification in Oncology Pharmacy or a related board certification or advanced training.
