Medical Director - Oncology, Sponsor Dedicated (Home-Based) (Oncology)

Location: Home-based in Milan, Italy

Annual base pay: €98,600–€167,700, with potential incentives, bonuses, and benefits.

What you will do

• Provide medical and scientific oversight for oncology clinical research programs and serve as Medical Monitor for sponsor studies.
• Review and contribute to protocols, informed consent materials, investigator brochures, eCRFs, analysis plans, clinical study reports, and regulatory submissions.
• Support protocol design, inclusion and exclusion criteria, study endpoints, investigator selection, recruitment, retention, and investigator meetings.
• Provide on-call medical support for protocol queries, site issues, patient eligibility questions, and safety matters.
• Review safety data, serious adverse events, SAE narratives, IND/SUSAR reports, medical coding, data tables, listings, and figures.
• Support DSMB and adjudication activities, business development proposals, training, literature reviews, and quality improvement projects.

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited and internationally recognized medical school.
• At least 10 years of experience in medical practice, academia, clinical research, or drug development.
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Oncology.
• Strong ability to work independently and collaboratively within multidisciplinary and matrix environments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects with shifting priorities and communicate effectively in writing and verbally.

Nice to have

• 3–5 years of biopharmaceutical industry experience.
• Urology or surgical oncology background.
