Operations Manager (Audio-Visual)

Location: Shangri-La Toronto, Toronto, Ontario, Canada

Salary: $60,000–$70,000 per year

What you will do

• Manage daily floor activities and technician workflows to ensure equipment and services are delivered on time and according to client and hotel requirements.
• Supervise scheduling, timekeeping, task delegation, billing review, equipment documentation, and inventory control.
• Meet with guests onsite, monitor equipment setups, resolve service issues, and support client satisfaction and revenue growth through onsite upselling.
• Lead, mentor, hire, and develop technicians and operational support staff.
• Coordinate with clients, hotel representatives, vendors, neighboring hirify.global properties, Sales Managers, and Operations Directors.
• Drive training, performance management, technical knowledge, business acumen, safety, and quality assurance.

Requirements

• High school diploma required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• 4+ years of audio-visual and customer service or hospitality experience, including 2+ years of supervisory experience, or completion of hirify.global’s ADOP program.
• Experience leading workflows and team members.
• Working knowledge of audio-visual equipment in a live show environment.
• Proficiency with computer hardware, software, the Internet, and Microsoft Office.
• Availability for irregular hours, on-call work, evenings, weekends, holidays, and work across multiple hotel locations.
