Catering Manager

Location: 777 Garner Rd E, Ancaster, Ontario, Canada

Salary: Up to CAD 25 per hour

What you will do

• Plan menus, recipes, preparation schedules, and logistics for catering events.
• Coordinate event setup, delivery, removal, billing, collections, and client requests.
• Manage catering budgets, purchasing, inventory, supplier discrepancies, portion control, and cost-saving initiatives.
• Supervise, hire, train, and coach catering and temporary staff.
• Ensure compliance with FoodSafe or ServeSafe standards, sanitation policies, and workplace safety procedures.
• Maintain catering offerings and the website while supporting business growth and special events.

Requirements

• Five years of recent related food service experience leading high-volume catering teams, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
• ServeSafe and/or FoodSafe certification and thorough knowledge of food preparation and service health and safety regulations.
• Superior written and verbal English communication skills, with the ability to communicate in French as appropriate.
• Strong organization, accuracy, multitasking, project leadership, forecasting, and business development skills.
• Ability to use catering equipment, computers, related software, and POS systems safely and effectively.
• Ability to lift 0–10 pounds and frequently stand and walk.
