Senior Maintenance Technician (Injection)

What you will do

• Perform in-depth troubleshooting and repairs to maintain uptime for injection molding, bottling, packaging, and facility equipment.
• Act as a subject matter expert for injection molders and related auxiliary systems, including resin handling, drying, cooling, conveying, and vision inspection.
• Lead root cause analysis, equipment overhauls, preventive and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement projects.
• Create machine troubleshooting SOPs and upload them to the BDA system while improving reliability and mean time between failures.
• Train operators, mechanics, supervisors, and maintenance team members on equipment operation, troubleshooting, safety, and technical procedures.
• Collaborate with plant leadership and cross-functional teams to resolve recurring mechanical and electrical problems.

Requirements

• At least 6 years of experience in a manufacturing maintenance environment and 6 years of experience in the position; experience may combine work experience and education.
• At least 4 years of experience managing people or projects.
• Experience reading electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and process-and-instrumentation schematics.
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, electromechanical, electrical, PLC, drive, servo, communication, and safety systems.
• Experience with precision measuring equipment, shop equipment, power tools, and basic fabrication; ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for extended periods.
• High school diploma or GED, own toolbox and basic tools, regular predictable attendance, and required on-call availability.

Nice to have

• 10 or more years of manufacturing maintenance and position experience.
• Experience with blow molding, injection molding, packaging, or beverage equipment.
• Experience with Krones, Husky, Sidel, or other packaging and bottling equipment.
• Experience leading and developing others, creating process improvements, and working with 480VAC and 24VDC systems.
• Associate degree in manufacturing, mechatronics, industrial manufacturing, automation, or a related field.
