Profee Audit & Education Specialist (Healthcare)

Location: Remote - United States

Salary: $35–$45 USD per hour. A $2,500 sign-on bonus is offered.

What you will do

• Perform professional fee coding audits of medical records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, modifiers, and coding references.
• Document clear rationales for audit findings, including supporting documentation references.
• Prioritize multiple cases and support coding workflow and case resolution.
• Develop and deliver virtual coder education through webinars, presentations, training materials, and learning resources.
• Identify coding trends, audit findings, and knowledge gaps, then create targeted educational content.
• Present coding and compliance topics as a subject matter expert to coders, providers, clients, and other healthcare stakeholders.

Requirements

• 5+ years of professional fee coding and/or auditing experience, with most experience in auditing.
• 3+ years of creating and presenting professional fee education.
• Multi-specialty coding and auditing experience.
• CPC certification required; CPMA preferred.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other common electronic medical record systems; ability to maintain a 95% accuracy rate.
