Location: Columbus, Ohio; must live or be willing to relocate within 45 minutes of the Grandview Service Center.

What you will do

• Install, rearrange, maintain, operate, remove, and inspect underground transmission and distribution facilities.
• Operate line trucks, bucket trucks, ladders, winches, and associated auxiliary equipment.
• Work in vaults, manholes, and other enclosed spaces, including setting up barricades, ventilation, and atmospheric monitoring equipment.
• Install URD stress cones, primary cable splices, outdoor terminations, and street lighting equipment.
• Perform cable identification, grounding, equipment maintenance, traffic direction, and work-area organization.
• Attend assigned training and respond to regular overtime, on-call, and occasional out-of-town work.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• No prior experience required; line work experience or line school education is preferred.
• Valid state driver's license and required state or federal licensing.
• Obtain a CDL beginner's permit within 60 days.
• Pass the standard color blindness test and demonstrate the physical ability to perform heavy work, personal rescues, and confined-space duties.
• Receive recommended results from the online HireVue Line Worker Virtual Job Tryout assessment.
