Undergraduate Co-op Student – Business Analyst (Biotech)

Annual base salary: CAD 45,000–55,000

What you will do

• Clean, organize, validate, and transform operational datasets for analysis and visualization.
• Analyze operational data to identify trends and insights.
• Translate business questions into practical data outputs and clear visualizations.
• Support the development and maintenance of dashboards, reports, and operational tracking tools.
• Document data sources, assumptions, dashboard logic, and user guidance.
• Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to understand reporting needs and improve data accessibility.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old.
• Be enrolled in a full-time Bachelor's degree program at an accredited college or university, with a minimum 3.0 GPA or equivalent.
• Have completed at least one year of study before the co-op begins and remain enrolled after the assignment.
• Must not be employed when the co-op assignment starts.
• Must be able to work in Burnaby, Canada, for the on-site assignment.

Nice to have

• Degree concentration in Commerce, Business Analytics, Science and Business, or a related discipline.
• Availability for two consecutive four-month terms, totaling eight months.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and interest in data analysis, visualization, and business intelligence tools such as Power BI.
• Familiarity with Python or similar data analysis tools.
• Interest in life sciences, biotechnology, research operations, or science-based organizations.
