Senior Software Engineer, Simulation System (Golang)

Location: Remote (United States); flexible arrangements may include hybrid remote/in-office schedules. Applicants must meet U.S. export-control eligibility requirements.

What you will do

• Design and build simulation and planning capabilities for hypothetical network scenarios.
• Enable users to vary network configurations, conditions, and assumptions and evaluate potential effects.
• Develop tools for comparing scenarios, understanding tradeoffs, and identifying risks and opportunities.
• Build scalable and reliable systems for managing and evaluating complex scenarios.
• Collaborate across Product Engineering to integrate simulation and planning into broader product workflows.

Requirements

• Proficiency in Golang, C, C++, or Java.
• 8+ years of experience designing and developing production software systems.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong fundamentals in system design, algorithms, testing, and debugging.
• Experience with distributed, data-intensive, computational, or other complex backend systems.
• Must qualify for access to U.S. export-controlled information or be eligible and reasonably likely to obtain the required export authorization.

Nice to have

• Experience with simulation, modeling, experimentation, or planning systems.
• Experience representing and evaluating complex or evolving state.
• Familiarity with networking, telecommunications, geospatial systems, or adjacent domains.
