Database / Application Specialist (MSSQL)

Location: Onsite in Huntsville, AL, United States. Standard hours are 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional night-shift support for test events. Minimal travel is required.

What you will do

• Design, document, test, and implement custom technical solutions for ARC management support tasks.
• Support architecture, automation, and data-structure strategies for ServiceDesk Plus and other custom database solutions.
• Optimize existing processes with automated and custom scripts within the SDP ticketing system.
• Create custom, automated, and on-demand reports for management and support staff.
• Provide hands-on training and operational support for applicable team groups.
• Troubleshoot, resolve, and document application and database issues.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is required.
• An active, in-scope Secret security clearance or the ability to obtain and maintain one is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related Information Management field.
• 4–8 years of related and relevant work experience.
• Experience deploying, managing, hardening, and optimizing MSSQL databases.
• Experience with MSSQL-based application customization, query design, scripting languages, and REST APIs.

Nice to have

• Experience with ServiceDesk Plus, ManageEngine products, ServiceNow, Power Apps, or Power BI.
• Experience in a Department of War environment, BMDS, test environments, or secured spaces.
• Experience designing adaptable technical solutions and implementation strategies.
