IAMD Senior Electronics Engineer

Location: On-site in Huntsville, Alabama, United States. Full-time role with minimal travel and standard work hours.

What you will do

• Design, support, and continuously improve production and test equipment.
• Provide technical guidance, troubleshoot electronic systems, and collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, quality, and safety teams.
• Analyze production and downtime data to identify reliability trends and equipment performance issues.
• Lead root cause and corrective action investigations and implement corrective measures in production.
• Develop preventive maintenance strategies, documentation, and critical spare-parts plans.
• Contribute to automated test equipment design, hardware builds, integration, documentation, and validation testing.

Requirements

• U.S. citizenship is mandatory.
• Active U.S. Secret security clearance is required, or the ability to obtain and maintain one; an interim or final clearance is required after starting.
• Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering.
• At least 15 years of relevant engineering experience.
• At least 10 years of hands-on experience with test equipment, electronic-system troubleshooting, and manual and automated testing of components, assemblies, and finished products.
• Laboratory experience in power or analog electronics testing, measurement techniques, or test methodology development.

Nice to have

• Subject matter expertise in test equipment and test methodologies.
• Experience with DMMs, oscilloscopes, programmable power supplies, function generators, and related diagnostic tools.
