Salary: $149,976.55–$202,909.45 annually

What you will do

  • Partner with the VP of Research and the Inflammation Leadership Team to define, execute, and track therapeutic-area strategy, annual goals, and long-range priorities.
  • Translate strategic priorities into measurable goals, milestones, KPIs, accountability frameworks, and operating plans.
  • Coordinate portfolio governance, decision forums, dashboards, risk assessments, reporting tools, and follow-through on leadership decisions.
  • Lead technology, AI, computational, innovation, organizational effectiveness, change management, and capability-building initiatives.
  • Coordinate budgeting, resource planning, headcount management, scenario analysis, and talent management processes.
  • Prepare executive presentations, business reviews, strategic communications, governance materials, and portfolio updates.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree plus 2 years, master’s degree plus 4 years, bachelor’s degree plus 6 years, associate’s degree plus 10 years, or high school diploma/GED plus 12 years of biotech or pharmaceutical management, project management, or strategic operations experience.
  • Experience with strategic planning, portfolio management, governance, operations, budgeting, resource planning, and performance management in an R&D organization.
  • Scientific credibility and the ability to synthesize complex scientific, operational, and business information into actionable recommendations.
  • Experience leading and influencing cross-functional teams in a global, matrixed, rapidly changing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executive presentations, business reviews, governance materials, and strategic communications.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Office, SharePoint, Smartsheet, collaboration tools, data visualization tools, and AI-enabled productivity or knowledge-synthesis tools.

Nice to have

  • Experience with organizational design, talent strategy, leadership-team operating cadence, culture building, and change management.
  • Experience developing KPI dashboards, risk assessments, decision frameworks, and portfolio or resource analyses.
