TL;DR
Career Development Coordinator (Education): Supporting LIFE Scholars students with employment, internships, career preparation, and transition to meaningful integrated employment with an accent on individualized support, employer partnerships, and workplace preparation. Focus on developing internship placements, conducting workplace assessments, building sustainable employment systems, and coordinating with students, families, faculty, employers, and community partners.

Location: hirify.global; the role includes on-campus and community-based student employment and internship activities across Montana.

Salary: $24.388 per hour, commensurate with experience, education, and qualifications.

hirify.global’s Office of Student Engagement supports students through education, career development, and community engagement programs.

What you will do

  • Provide individualized employment support, including sourcing jobs, assisting with resumes and applications, and completing employment documentation.
  • Support students with part-time employment, internships, onboarding, workplace supports, and career preparation.
  • Identify and develop internship opportunities on campus and in the community.
  • Build relationships with employers across Montana and coordinate with supervisors, mentors, families, faculty, staff, and community partners.
  • Develop career profiles documenting student skills, work experiences, evaluations, and recommendations.
  • Create sustainable processes for site observations, task analysis, mentor identification, student matching, orientations, and post-graduation employment support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation, Human Services, Education, Social Work, Psychology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience working with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.
  • Experience supporting employment, internships, career development, or transition services.
  • Experience building collaborative relationships with students, families, employers, faculty, staff, and community partners.
  • Experience managing multiple projects and priorities.
  • This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in Special Education, Rehabilitation Counseling, Transition Services, or a related field.
  • Experience with job coaching, workplace assessments, task analyses, or vocational evaluations.
  • Experience developing employer partnerships or facilitating professional development.
  • Knowledge of employment practices and transition-to-employment programming.
