Production Process Technician RFDP - Crew 4 (Food Manufacturing)

Location: Madison, Wisconsin, USA; onsite plant work

Salary: Starting at $22.25 per hour, with scheduled overtime and shift and weekend premiums available.

What you will do

• Process and package cultures produced at the Ray Freeze Dry Plant.
• Mix, blend, formulate, and package raw ingredients into finished dietary supplement and food products.
• Operate, load, unload, assemble, and disassemble production equipment.
• Adjust control instrumentation and move raw materials, equipment, and finished products throughout the plant.
• Identify abnormal production or equipment conditions and escalate them appropriately.
• Maintain production records and clean, sanitize, and sterilize equipment and process areas.

Requirements

• High school education or equivalent, successful work history, teamwork skills, and proven mechanical ability.
• Ability to perform calculations with percentages and decimals and use metric measurements.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written procedures and work instructions.
• Basic computer skills for entering and retrieving production data, email communication, and safety training.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, or carry up to 55 pounds, climb ladders and stairs, and maneuver heavier loads with mechanical assistance.
• Ability to work safely in wet, slippery, humid, dusty, and cold plant conditions while wearing required PPE and respiratory protection.

Nice to have

• Knowledge of production processes, quality assurance, quality control, costs, GMP, HACCP, FSSC 22000, NSF, or ICH Q7.
