Process Technician (Extrusion)

Location: Buffalo, NY; full-time onsite at the Buffalo flagship facility

Salary: $28.00–$32.00 per hour, dependent on experience. A discretionary annual bonus may also be provided based on company and business unit performance.

hirify.global operates a manufacturing facility focused on startup-scale production and extrusion operations.

What you will do

• Support daily extrusion operations, focusing on productivity, quality, yield, and downtime reduction.
• Troubleshoot out-of-specification profiles and recommend process adjustments.
• Monitor process parameters and collaborate with Production, Maintenance, and Quality to resolve process, material, and equipment issues.
• Support line ramp-up, changeovers, operator training, experimental trials, and product development activities.
• Maintain process documentation, run sheets, training records, and other required records.
• Follow safety procedures and support LOTO and plant safety programs.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience as a lead operator, process technician, or in a related manufacturing role.
• Experience with extrusion, plastics, polymers, or continuous manufacturing is preferred.
• Working knowledge of PLC controls, MES, and SCADA systems.
• Mechanical aptitude, basic mathematical skills, and ability to use hand tools and measuring instruments such as tape measures and calipers.
• Ability to read work instructions and process documentation, communicate effectively across teams, and troubleshoot equipment and processes.
• Ability to work 12-hour shifts, stand for extended periods, work on a manufacturing floor, and lift up to 100 lbs with assistance.

Nice to have

• Associate’s degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Industrial, or related Engineering, or equivalent experience.
• Experience supporting startup-scale manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
