Staff Pharmacist - Overnights/Weekends - Remote, IL or CA (Telepharmacy)

Location: Remote anywhere within the United States; active Illinois or California pharmacist license required. Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off, including overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts.

Salary: 54–91 USD per hour, depending on experience and geographic location; eligible for an annual bonus plan.

What you will do

• Complete remote medication order entry, order verification, drug verification, and transitions-of-care medication reconciliation.
• Provide drug information and therapeutic guidance to physicians, nurses, and other care providers.
• Assess medication appropriateness, dosing adjustments, interactions, and compatibilities across complex clinical cases.
• Support specialized populations, including pediatric, geriatric, pregnant or nursing patients, patients with HIV, and patients with renal or hepatic impairment.
• Maintain knowledge of IV therapies, TPN, cardiac and narcotic drips, IV antibiotics, chemotherapy, and related treatments.
• Document clinical interventions, maintain compliance with HIPAA and pharmacy laws, and meet productivity and quality standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy required; PharmD preferred.
• At least one year of hospital pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Active pharmacist license in Illinois or California, in good standing, required.
• Willingness to obtain additional licenses in Iowa, Nebraska, or Hawaii.
• Strong clinical knowledge and ability to work across multiple pharmacy information systems, VPNs, and automation systems.
• Reliable cable broadband or fiber internet with at least 10 Mbps download and 5 Mbps upload speeds required for home working.
