Specialist, Production Planner

Location: San Luis Obispo, California, United States; onsite at the facility

Salary: $77,000–$82,000 annually, plus annual bonus eligibility.

What you will do

• Review material availability and release work orders for kitting.
• Coordinate replenishment activities with procurement and support production with part shortages.
• Manage work order materials, approve unused component returns, and update configuration changes.
• Confirm stock-to-order work orders in the system and coordinate delivery with logistics.
• Maintain Kanban and safety stock inventory levels using supply and demand analysis.
• Analyze work order variances, close completed work orders, and escalate financial discrepancies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• 1–3 years of production planning experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Basic knowledge of ERP/MRP systems.
• Strong analytical, organizational, communication, multitasking, and detail-oriented skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Excel and mining data.
• Ability to work cross-functionally and walk throughout the facility daily.
