Location: Littleton, Colorado, United States; based on site

Base salary: $81,600–$137,500 USD per year, plus potential stock, cash incentives, and employee stock purchase program participation.

What you will do

  • Manage the health, safety, and performance of satellite fleets across commissioning, orbit raising, routine operations, and re-entry.
  • Design, develop, and test ground software, operational scripts, flight software sequences, FDIR, and telemetry configurations.
  • Maintain continuous integration and testing for operational code, develop test methods, and analyze mission data.
  • Validate spacecraft behavior using flatsat, hardware-in-the-loop, and other simulation tools.
  • Support spacecraft integrated tests, including TVAC, propulsion stack, and DITL activities.
  • Develop mission requirements, interface specifications, CONOPS, design documents, and technical support for program teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in software, computer, electrical, aerospace, mechanical, or another technical engineering discipline.
  • 2+ years of relevant experience for Engineer II or 5+ years for Senior Engineer I in space mission design, satellite subsystems, ground systems, spacecraft command and control, or spacecraft operations.
  • Understanding of spacecraft subsystems, including attitude determination and control, electrical power, space-ground communications, command and data handling, and thermal control.
  • Understanding of the space environment, orbital mechanics, and rigid body dynamics.
  • Software development experience with Python, Ruby, C, C++, or another high-level language.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for the stated program requirements, and the ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance is required.

Nice to have

  • Master’s or PhD in engineering.
  • Experience in spacecraft operations, satellite system design, or satellite ground systems.
  • Exposure to Git, CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, software-in-the-loop, or hardware-in-the-loop testing.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
