Laboratory Analyst (Medical Technologist)

Location: Onsite in New Haven, Connecticut, United States. Relocation assistance may be available based on business needs and eligibility. Permanent U.S. work authorization is required; visa sponsorship is not available.

Annual base salary: $68,600–$114,300, plus eligibility for a 7.5% bonus target.

What you will do

• Perform routine and special clinical laboratory testing across chemistry, hematology, coagulation, urinalysis, immunology, and biomarkers.
• Perform quality control checks, monitor trends, and maintain calibration and quality-control records.
• Calibrate and maintain instruments, manage reagent and laboratory-supply inventories, and coordinate supply needs.
• Process samples and enter data using PIMS, Cerner, laboratory information systems, and electronic notebooks.
• Support pharmacokinetic biospecimen processing, sample shipping, and specimen processor functions, including off-hours coverage when needed.
• Assist with assay and instrumentation validation, employee training, and preparation for CLIA, COLA, CAP, and internal audits.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in Medical Technology and MLT or MT certification.
• At least 2 years of relevant laboratory experience in a pharmaceutical, hospital, or medical research environment.
• Hands-on experience with computers, laboratory data acquisition systems, and laboratory information systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word applications and strong customer-facing communication skills.
• Permanent authorization to work in the United States by any employer is required.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and provide flexible or off-hours specimen-processing coverage.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical, physical, or biological science meeting CLIA 88 educational requirements for high-complexity laboratories.
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical clinical research operations, clinical trials, GxP, GCP, CAP, and CLIA regulations.
