What you will do

  • Unload, verify, inspect, label, store, and route incoming materials and equipment.
  • Pick, stage, deliver, and move materials, tooling, consumables, and work in process throughout manufacturing operations.
  • Complete receipts, transfers, issues, returns, location changes, cycle counts, and other inventory transactions in ERP or inventory-management systems.
  • Prepare, package, document, stage, and load outbound shipments, including expedited orders.
  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other authorized material-handling equipment while following safety and PPE requirements.
  • Maintain material segregation, identification, traceability, storage accuracy, and orderly warehouse and dock areas.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED and at least two years of experience in material handling, logistics, warehousing, shipping and receiving, inventory control, or manufacturing support.
  • Previous certified forklift or powered industrial truck experience, plus the ability to complete company equipment training and evaluation.
  • Ability to read work instructions, part labels, packing lists, purchase orders, and shipping or receiving documentation accurately.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to learn ERP and inventory-management systems.
  • Strong attention to part numbers, quantities, lot numbers, material status, and storage locations.
  • Ability to work the assigned schedule, including overtime or alternate shifts when required.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, defense, automotive, casting, machining, or another controlled manufacturing operation.
  • Experience with aerospace material identification, lot traceability, cycle counting, inventory reconciliation, or root-cause investigations.
  • Experience packaging high-value or customer-controlled components.
  • DOT, hazardous-material, or dangerous-goods shipping experience or training.
