TL;DR
Senior Director, MedTech Surgery Robotics and Digital (RAD) (AI/Robotics): Shaping technology strategy and multi-year product roadmaps for digital surgery, robotics, connected devices, imaging, computer vision, and supply continuity analytics with an accent on AI/ML, GenAI, data platforms, and compliant product delivery. Focus on modernizing legacy environments, scaling digital and AI-enabled solutions, governing portfolios and budgets, and translating clinical, customer, and patient needs into technology outcomes.

Location: Hybrid role based in Santa Clara, California, or Raritan, New Jersey, United States

Base pay: $205,000–$353,050 per year

What you will do

  • Co-create the technology strategy for MedTech Surgery Robotics and Digital and translate it into multi-year product and platform roadmaps.
  • Lead technology outcomes across digital surgery, robotics, operating-room integration, imaging, computer vision, field service, supply continuity, and instrument lifecycle analytics.
  • Operationalize AI/ML and GenAI use cases across commercial, supply chain, service, and R&D-adjacent functions.
  • Own product portfolio prioritization, funding, delivery, adoption, benefits realization, and OKR alignment.
  • Partner with senior business leaders, cybersecurity, regulatory, legal, privacy, quality, and commercial stakeholders.
  • Build external partnerships, strengthen technical capabilities, and lead successful product launches and lifecycle management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems, engineering, business, or a related field; a master’s degree is preferred.
  • 12+ years of technology leadership experience, including direct leadership of business, engineering, data operations, or product teams.
  • 8+ years of people leadership experience in large, matrixed organizations.
  • Proven experience with product management, agile delivery, portfolio governance, business process integration, and measurable roadmaps.
  • Fluency in cloud, APIs, data platforms, analytics, AI/ML, and GenAI, with experience implementing capabilities beyond pilot stages.
  • Experience modernizing legacy environments and delivering scalable solutions safely, securely, and compliantly.

Nice to have

  • MedTech surgery experience, including digital surgery, robotics, imaging, computer vision, or connected capital equipment.
  • Experience working with clinical, commercial, and supply chain stakeholders across multiple countries.
  • Experience hiring and developing technical and product talent, with strong executive presence and change leadership.
