TL;DR

Location: 100% onsite at hirify.global’s headquarters in El Segundo, California, United States

Salary: $133.5K–$184.8K annually, plus equity

hirify.global is a startup developing mass-produced, portable nuclear microreactors, including the 1-megawatt Kaleidos reactor for hospitals, data centers, remote sites, and military bases.

What you will do

  • Partner with design and manufacturing engineers to develop production equipment for fabricating and assembling complex mechanisms and structures.
  • Design, analyze, and fabricate equipment that enables semi-remote reactor fueling and defueling operations.
  • Develop factory equipment for the mass production, fueling, and refueling of Kaleidos microreactors.
  • Identify and develop suppliers for components and fabrication services.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 4+ years of experience designing and fabricating multi-component mechanical assemblies in CAD, using NX or a similar tool.
  • Solid understanding of GD&T and experience applying it to fabrication drawings.
  • Willingness to work extended hours and weekends when necessary.
  • Ability to work 100% onsite in El Segundo, California.

Nice to have

  • Master’s degree in mechanical engineering, manufacturing engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Experience with hand calculations and higher-fidelity finite element analysis.
  • Experience designing custom machines and electromechanical systems, including motors, actuators, linear rails, bearings, and lifting or rigging equipment.
  • Strong organizational, communication, problem-solving, and collaboration skills.
