(USA) Technician, Facility Services, Food Equipment

Walmart operates retail stores and provides facility and equipment maintenance services to support store operations and customer experience.

What you will do

• Diagnose, maintain, and repair commercial food equipment, including ovens, slicers, fryers, hot cases, ice makers, and bakery equipment.
• Maintain Walmart facilities, equipment, fixtures, grease and oil systems, and material handling equipment using multiple trade skills.
• Inspect, operate, and test equipment to identify issues and complete timely repairs.
• Receive reactive work orders, document repair activities, and maintain accurate maintenance logs.
• Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls and follow equipment and tool safety procedures.
• Train store associates on equipment care, cleaning, and prevention of misuse or damage.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Have a vocational or technical certification and two years of relevant experience, or four years of experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or a related trade.
• Hold a license in a related trade in the city or state where the job is located.
• Hold a valid state-issued driver's license, maintain a clean driving record, and pass a motor vehicle report.
• Lift up to 50 pounds, frequently use ladders and work at heights, and work while sitting or standing for extended periods in varying temperatures.
• Meet the stated commercial driving record requirements, including no recent DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions and limits on moving violations and preventable accidents.

Nice to have

• Mechanical maintenance or construction experience involving commercial HVAC/R and building controls.
• Experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
• Experience using hand tools, power tools, testing equipment, and office productivity software.
